A while back a couple of friends were talking about the dress Helena Bonham Carter wore to the Oscar's.. i am loving her style and decided that i would like to try and re-create this outfit . I am so pleased with results and she is going to be starring ebay tonight .. she needs showing off! ..she is a OOAK creation doll .. from the Crazy Daisy Custom doll salon! ..

I have been very quiet this week .. so not worked too much ..arrrgh! .. had a bad week .. a bug I think ... nice to have a clear head today .. need to kick my butt now ...
i have been sewing quietly a few outfits for my new collection .. i am rather enjoying and i am messing about with hats !!! ..
also a project in the offing ..with a fellow customiser .. we would like ot create something together ..i must say i am rather excited about .. we are both googling images and thinking of what we want to do ..I love it! ...

I hope you all had a better week than me ..! ..got to go watch doctor who missed it last night by ten minutes grrrrrrr .... thank goodness for replay!! .. thank you BT ..

weekend ! ... birds ..fabric and tidying!

saturday ..was intresting! i heard a lot of noise from my loft ..so i peeked in and saw a tiny baby sparrow sat looking at me ..awwww ..so cute .. had that wide mouth frog look ... hmm obviously a nest in the loft and this lil'un has escaped.. i could hear mum on the roof tweeting to him ..trouble is he is following mum's tweet .. i found nest in corner of loft ..now to herd him into it , its scuttles off into some dark corner grr ..so leaving it for 5 mins is was out again this took a pattern in my morning .. up and down ..finally trapped it ..and put box hear to nest .. yay its in watched for 15 mins and mum came in happily feeding phew so all safe ..my good deed for the day ..

on to work .. I started friday and now i have re rooted girls ..cleaned makeup and got them into styling! ..

both gals are rooted .. make up removed and scrubbed clean ..

A visit to the salon to get hair strightened before styling ...

after hair is dry i have put the hair into styles ready to be heat treated to set the style ...

this afternoon ..my head is not with me .. so i have been tidying pippa corner ..that means all fabric and bits n bobs! ..you know those jobs you wish you never started ..anyhoo its done ..and a little better .. My head is still not a happy bunny ..so i cut out some fabrics for outfits .. sun is finally out today and that wind seems to have died down .. at last! .. just going to go sit out and have a sald and a wee sup!

Convention over for another year ..always over too fast! .. lovely memories and look forward to next year!. I have been spending time finishing off my convention jobs! .. i made web pages and took lots of pics .. and i spent yesterday thanking all the lovely pippa & dawn people for their wonderful kindness in donating to pippa convention .. the prize table is something to behold its like being in a sweetshop ..I can never log everything in there is so much.. the goodie boxes were stuffed to brim too so lots of rummaging and all the time and effort people put into making and donating ..simply fab! ...
anyhoo .. back to work ..and my back log .. these are the first lot ..!

I am working on a secret donation in collaboration for dawn convention, i will also be working ona complete one from myself but i have decided to sort this little lady first .. i have an idea for her and i have seen what she will be wearing so you wont see her again till complete ..

pippa has come to me .. a customers daughter wants a custom doll Arwen from Lord of the rings .. I do love the fantasy dolls so looking forward to this!! ..

"ramblings of a tired pippa addict"
well another year and a wonderful pippa convention, made very special to me by this group of women of a certain age who should know better!
I had a bad Friday on a personal level .. lost something which was dear ..or i thought was
it had been a long long week working to get me and convention dolly ready and packed..i was tired but on a high!!
my lovely room buddy Claire arrived and we set off for Stratford driven by me lovely hubby .. he is so good to me .." I am so lucky!!" i have been told!

I made a descision and my Big chief sitting pippa also made a descision i was not to paint faces as i get caught up for a lot of the day and miss out socialising ..
so i chilled! and chatted and socialised and it was so lovely not rushing about , heaven
we all said hello my name is ***** i am a pippa addict and this is my favourite doll beacause... some were long some short some hysterical .. some aaah's also ..
my favourite doll was my one and only! .. Julieanne re root .. very special .. in a coveted Peg outfit
I met new people and a seamstress! .. (carol) .. said she thought my sewing was very good and she was impressed *swoon* .. that to me is such a compliment as it is only this last few years i have been creating for pippa that i have learned to sew ..

we did our pippa nerd quiz with the wonderful Caroline .. in her snazzy jacket! and NEW amazing hat! ..i am so useless at dates for pip! ask me how many buttons on a particular dress i am there ! sigh but i did get 11 out of 15 so not bad!! maybe little help from me friends *coughs* .. lol ..

first round of prize table ..wow so many gorgeous things .. to just drool over and want! NEED .. i bagged myself a pair of wonderful shoes by Karen they are simply amazing ..little leaves oohh just stunning i was so lucky ...
then it was time for convention doll ... i love love love giving them out .. i love to see people faces .. we have a team we get together and we all create a small piece of the master piece (and she is)..
this is an amzing honour and pleasure to be heading this team and get to give them out .. it affords me the most wonderful feeling , i make people smile!! ..

they were amazing and they were loved again ! woo hoo another triumph! .. can we do better next year ? always the challenge ..

after, pics were taken of us all holding our gal .. love that ..

then this amazing group that i found via a love of pippa astounded me and made my blub! .. i never thought i was a blubber ...little did i know ..
Mandy and me been talking for about 5 years i think about making a book ... she keeps telling me people would love a crazy daisy book ..i say nahhhhh .... dont be daft .. and i am useless at organsing myself .. i am not a buisness person by any stretch..... of anybodys imagination!!
anyhoo ..she said to head chief sitting pippa one day what do you think about ......... and they got together on this project ..and many people colluded with pics and they all presented me with this amazing book ..i have to tell you it looks like a book i would buy for my coffee table!! its stunning
its a Crazy Daisy custom doll book ..me .. Tracy Farrant .... wow . this lovely bunch of people i am so pleased to call friends .. ok tears are welling! sorry for soppyness .. but really when a group of people get together and do something for you like that , that they thought of you ..( stops to wipe eyes and red nose) .....well somebody said you can live a lifetime and not feel something that much in one moment .. i did ... i am still a little in shock ... and cant stop picking this book up ..
they all signed the inside for me with lovely messges .. a treasured item to hold dear for the rest of my life ..

after all my tears and some truly awful pics somebody took of me with my camera ok some are ok ..but some i am never showing to anybody!!! remind me never to blub on camera again! ..
we had the rest of the prize giving and i got some amazing wonderful things which i will show ya later .. and then if this was all the excitement you could have ..goodie boxes came .. blimey .. its like christmas pippa !!!!people are so good so kind so generous to our convention ..those who attend and those who donate .. it does take your breath away .. the doll world is a very special place ..
at 6 .... well Vicky was not allowed by Shirley to open a package till then!!
she won a charity auction a custom makeover by the wonderful curly wurly shirley .. in aid of comic relief ..( we thought it was it was the end of the world!) .. hmmm ..but when she opened it was a beautiful doll with a bun ..Shirley does the most amazing buns and she was just gorgeous .. and do you know i have wanted one for a while ..so i said Shirley ..i keep meaning to ask you ..to make me one, can you please make me one!!! .. the reply was well funny you should say that ...
and pressed a doll with a bun into my hands . .. present for me ....all too much . she is adorable and i now have two Shirley dolls .. thank you so much Shirley .. x i have been the most spoilt pippa this weekend ... and i dont think i will ever forget such a day ..
i am sorry this is an essay ..but needed to get it all out before i went to sleep after this amazing weekend ...i dont usually know what to write ..
i will post some pics tomorrow ..to show all the wonderful things that happened this weekend

so been a wild week with highs lows and just emotional roller coaster .. had to share

Monday morning ..!

It is a little madness here .. Its mostly pippa convention time so i have 30 odd dolls to complete box up and have ready to leave Friday! .. convention is this weekend woo hoo .. cant wait ..
i have broken back of this weekend, made myself a little unwell! but can relax a little now. Claire came round this morning so we had some lovely pippa yaking and we sat checked gals and bagged and tagged them so yay! i have four still to complete but its for the main part done .. and she looks so scrummy , everybody did a knockout job as usual i can't wait to hand them out /...sooooooo excitied .. i think you will all be blown away .. i will put up pictures of how why who what where and definately when!! hehe ..

also i completed communion doll and she went home and was given as gift to Katrina on her day ..i got a lovely pic of her holding her doll , how lovely is that!! .. thank you so much Nicky
i am adding a pic of her completed and Katrina with her gal .. i do feel smiley today!

now to do my own stuff .. haha . ooh er mrs!!! i have a lot to do yet .. but now with a chilled head ..

Communion pippa doll

I was asked by Nicky to make two special dolls ..one each for her little girls for their communion. Katrina has her day next saturday so i have been working to create this special doll
Nicky sent me pics of Georgina dressed in outfit so i could make as near to as poss
I was also asked for double french plaits .(faints*) ...
pics show outfit on Georgina and pippa with my version of outfit ..i still have to add makeup and steam hair down a little .. ooh and add ribbons! ..

Garden update!

we are nearly there with first phase of garden change! from bare patch to raised bed and new patio .. its lovely area to sit and when i get table and chairs with lovely umbrella i can sit and work out there , cant wait ..

Its been hectic end of week and beginning! some internet issues lovely jubbly!
Work in the garden has stepped forward though and looking good ..

i have completed a couple of gals .. Suga got an outfit, Hailey .. has a funky trouset set and eloise .. is mysterious ..

Suga is a pink silk overlayed with vintage tulle, its beautifully soft drapey tulle and worked well .. i made a black silk bag and choker with added pink diamontes to add a little bling!

Hailey has a fab patterned soft print cotton .. flared trousers small top with gathered tops, diamonte flowers in browns and gold she has a little black bag to match and a tie for her hair ..this is pinned in so easy to remove

Eloise is something a little differnt .. she had issues around her eyes which I could not remove so she sports a mask painted on with diamontes round and teardrop shaped
very dramatic! her outfit is a fitted top using a checquered coton print and white .. i added small red diamontes in a heart shape .. white and black silk chiffon skirts and boots to match
she holds a rose in her hand and one is sported in her hair ..
she also holds a baton!! ..

Happy Easter everybody .. Its been a beautiful weekend, i have spent it in the garden! no dollys this weekend ..
Ian and myself built 3 raised beds! i am so chuffed with them have to spray them yet but they are made!!

Were also re jigging the garden, i wanted area behind patio for the raised beds, it is a beautful sun trp. so flattening and raising levels starts!! the garden is a mess!!!

I also got a gift from hubby of elements9 they were having a good promo on Amazon! .. i bought some frames and brushes, textures , patterns oohh lots from ebay to play with using elements ..this is my first play with several layers .. haha there is a lot to learn but its good fun ..i just need more time!!! as always

I have used a Rosemary, this is her next two stages ! i cleaned original makeup off and used green shades for eyes .. her hair i have styled as up flip curls now i have to make her outfit .. I am quite pleased at her look she suits her name !

last picture _ It's convention time! the girls have arrived (mostly!) and they have been to the salon for a wash n brush awaiting bext stage ..exciting..

Start of the week and a I am working on dolls! here is Suga , she has been re rooted and ready for styling i am debating a flip out or a bob under hmmm .. i think i may go for a flip out

and Mandy i havent got a name yet it hasnt shouted at me yet .. but i want to create a tight perm back to hair so i have made tiny curls and she is ready to be steamed (poor lass) .. I am thinking a hip chick ...

Convention is coming up soon and ladies have been arriving at the Crazy Daisy salon , they have visited the spa , had a wash and brush up ready for their next step
It was a busy day in the spa!
Completed well i have just sent out a few ladies to their owners one was Morgana ..
I am also learning photography! Julieanne got me on a course on the net for textures i have had a lot of fun so looking forward to maybe making something new out of this .. i made this picture of Morgana

I purchased a lot of doll patterns and i am hopeing to change them to a pippa scale so i can produce some new outfits ..wish me luck .. i bought them from the US and a kind Lynn kindly posted them to me so i have had fun cutting them all out and scanning them in!

working on several dolls to show at conventioni will add some more information later i am looking for ideas for each doll ..

back to salon and creating this week ..well started weekend .. finished off lady , she seems a fire imp of some sort .

also started new tray so a few girls have been to salon and are sitting in styling ..
pic of a penny i re-rooted ..used a slightly more red brown you can see her on the tray, last dolly on the left ...

i was busy yesterday with two dolls for my site .i made a fanatsy black haired pip and a britt with a short bob and winter shopping i think ! ..grey has set in outside ...so nice to sit in side cuddled up playing pippa ..hats today , i seem to have lost one /sigh* ///
and then ihave two lovely works for two lovely little girls ..i have my instructions ...as to what i am to do ...
i am looking forward to creating for them ..

also ordered some fabric ..a special soft drape black chiffon in silk so i can complete Veronica Lake doll...every bit i find so far has been a hard drape ..fingers crossed this one works ..

my shoes arrived from Karen ..(we did a swap) .... and they are truly scrummy ..i am over moon

Been working on dolls for people this week ..and a bit ..
these girls been through the salon and make-up department !! i just have to add eyelashes and they nearly done ..

i did mandy for Karen ..we have a trade! she is making me some gorgeous shoes .. i am excited ! i am very pleased with how short sweep bob worked out , this is the shortest bob i have tried ..i was nto sure how it would work ..

other ladies .. blonde is a work for debs ..she wanted a doll to look like Veronica Lake ..i am trying to add waves to side ..the hair itsel is proving troublesome does not like holding the wave grrrr ... then i have to find some very fine chiffon in black ..very soft so will hang well on pip .. proving difficult ...
to auburn haired ..i had a few salons to do and these were in need of more so i was given do what you like ! woohooo . lol ..so my creative is coming in here ..
sindy was orig who had very damaged hair ..so just a straight re root and sindy curl ... ..she has come up good i think ..

lots to do today haha ..as always ..chasing my own tail!
i have about 20 odd hats ..yep went a bit mad
It is my birthday tomorrow also and my hubby bought me two lovely books one on milinery ..miniature! ..and the other wedding dresses ... so i have had a a lot of inspirtaion ..
i have created a few outfits based on a corset top for my collection
they is fiddly! .. taken me a bit of time to start speding up ..i dont think i will ever be speedy gonzales ! ... but i do love the effect ..

I am not sure what to write in a blog ... is it my ramblings .. not sure you all want to know what goes on in my head ..may give you nightmares ...or at least make you look at me different ! lol..
we will give it a go .. and please feel free to add your comments ..
